The Gîte: Our Family friendly farmhouse
The farmhouse has been carefully restored over 4 years and fitted out to a high standard, with a French-style decor. Four well-proportioned, south-facing bedrooms overlook the grounds. All come with comfortable beds and high-quality, crisp white linens.
Ground Floor
Living Room
A large, tastefully-decorated room with traditional parquet flooring and carefully-selected artwork. The two large windows overlooking the terrace and grounds make it light and airy. It is equipped with large sofas and comfy chairs, a central oak coffee table, occasional tables and a hand-painted traditional sideboard.
A 52″ LCD TV with UK standard channels, French standard channels, Netflix and streaming is available for your entertainment. There’s also a Bluetooth speaker and a DVD player with a wide range of DVDs.
In the cooler months you may wish to light the log burner set in the traditional fireplace.
Games Room / Library
This dreamland of a games room for children is packed with toys and games for kids and adults alike. A large doll’s house, train set, buckets of Lego, baby toys, and lots more will ensure that the little ones are kept entertained.
The well stocked book shelves offer a great selection of various genre books for ages 0 – 100!
Kitchen
The kitchen is the heart of La Maison Catalpa. Whether you are dining alfresco or at the large family table, you are sure to rustle up a delight. This room is also south-facing with large windows overlooking the terrace. Two squishy fireside chairs hug the log burner, perfect for cooler months.
The kitchen is fully-equipped with all the glassware, cookware and cutlery you could need. Children and babies are well catered for with a range of children’s dinnerware, highchairs and booster seats.
Appliances include a large gas range oven, fridge freezer, separate fridge, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, small blender and coffee maker.
Utility room: Here you will find a washbasin and washing machine, and separate toilet. It also houses an ironing board and iron, a cool box for picnics, pool towels, and clothes airier.

Upon arrival at La Masion Catalpa, you will find waiting for you:
A Welcome basket including wine, milk, baguette, water and jam

First Floor
Bedroom 1: Belgrave
A large family / group room sleeping up to 4 that runs the full depth of the farmhouse. It is composed of an antique double bed and two single beds.
Exposed oak beams open out to the vast vaulted ceiling. There is a small seating area. A locally handmade oak hanging rail, along with a large 8 drawer chest provides ample storage for your clothes.
Its en suite bathroom houses an extra wide Italian style rainfall shower, modern vanity washbasin and toilet.
Bedroom 2: Boutisse
A good-sized room with a double bed, painted oak floorboards and a beautiful range of matching Louis V Style furniture, including a handsome bed, 3-door wardrobe, chest of drawers, a chair and bedside tables.
Bedroom 3, Bellevue
A good-sized twin room with painted oak floorboards and traditional, hand-painted French style beds.
A chair and a range of pitch pine furniture provides ample storage.
Bedroom 4: Bel Air
A large family/group room that sleeps up to 4 and runs the full depth of the farmhouse. It offers a king size bed and a set of full-size single bunkbeds.
This room has been extensively-renovated to expose the vaulted ceiling and oak beams. It is equipped with a huge vintage French hand-painted wardrobe, small armoire and bedside tables.
A seating area under the window with Ercol vintage chairs enables you to relax and look out over the grounds.
The en suite has a bath with shower over, vanity washbasin and toilet.
Family Bathroom
This large and spacious bathroom is equipped with a full-sized modern bath, a large walk-in Italian style shower with drying area, vanity unit, toilet and a bench. There is plenty of storage for toiletries etc. A baby bath, toddler bath seat, changing mat, potty, toilet trainer seat and booster steps are available for little ones.

All linens, towels and pool towels are included.
All bathrooms have a hairdryer and soap. A small supply of toiletries is also available should you have forgotten anything
